A Quick Road Trip to Utah

Spontaneously driving to Utah

Jessy was interested in visiting his friends in Utah before Christmas, and I had never been to the state, so we threw our backpacks into the car after church on Sunday and began the road trip.

It takes about 12 hours to drive from Lethbridge to Salt Lake City, so by the time we arrived in Logan, UT, we decided to spend the night with a friend and play it safe. The next morning we drove to Salt Lake, and after spending time with some incredible friends, we took in the Temple Square Lights. The best way they can be described is “magical”.

The next morning we drove to Provo, where I was given a personalized tour of BYU campus and Jessy was able to surprise some of his close friends from his time at school. We then headed back up to Salt Lake for the night, before zooming back up to Lethbridge. Jessy ended up driving the entire way back on his own.

Did I mention he was sick with a horrible cold and was running a high fever during the drive? Trooper.
