I was so happy with how this Woven Crown Braid turned out that I repeated it again the next day! I especially appreciate how easy and quick it was to create. I would say that it took me under 5 minutes to braid with minimal effort and no tired arms. And it still immediately dressed up the whole look (and showed off my favourite open back body suit haha). I firmly believe in the saying that ‘hair is the best accessory’ because this look was entirely different when my hair was loose and around my shoulders as opposed to being woven into a high crown braid.

Backless Body Suit

I’ve had a lot of questions in the past about this bodysuit, so I did some research and found some similar suits in stock at BooHoo and Missguided! I wear it with everything, from jeans to skirts, and sadly even sweat pants (not even sorry).

Woven Crown Braid

If you’re interested in creating this braid, check out this tutorial by Kayley Melissa. Her tutorial is a bit different from how I created my braid, but it produces a very similar result. My trick is to continue the braid all the way around the head instead of dividing it into two sections, just to eliminate the use of bobby pins which somehow always end up falling out of my hair or digging painfully into my scalp. Hopefully this helps!

I have to add that I am loving being home for the summer because of it’s unlimited options for gorgeous and accessible locations. This spot is only a short walk from my house, and yet delightfully resembles an enchanted forest. 🙂
